A Nigerian woman, Ada Ozor, has opened up about her struggles with being single at 41, sharing her story on social media in hopes of finding a partner.
During an interview with TikTok content creator Lucky Udu, Ada reflected on how her preferences in men changed over the years. She admitted that in her 20s, she was only interested in wealthy men who could cater to her needs. However, as she grew older, her perspective shifted, and she realized the challenges of finding a husband in her 40s.
She recalled turning down multiple marriage proposals in her younger years, including one from an apprentice who promised a stable future but didn’t meet her financial expectations at the time.
In her words:
"In my 20s, I wanted a man who had money—I’m just being honest. I needed someone who could take care of me and support my family. The man I was with back then was just an apprentice. He wanted us to get married and assured me that things would improve financially, but I refused. My mother always told me that marriage is different from relationships and should never be rushed. So, I decided to wait and understand it better before taking the plunge."
